The Happy Hosta
What started as a love for hostas has grown into a thriving greenhouse business specializing in perennials, ferns, Japanese maples, roses and much more. They are known for their strong, healthy plants and their desire to form lasting friendships with their customers.

What started as a small hosta business on Facebook soon grew to be both a local and national treasure for plant lovers stuck inside during a pandemic.
In 2021, Tim Nifong of Lexington, NC decided to take his love of hostas to Facebook in hopes of sharing his enthusiasm with others who might be interested. He would grow the hostas in his small greenhouse and then personally deliver them to his family and friends. By 2022, the business had gone national and it was time for a new look.
Early iterations included inspiration from the greenhouse itself to many versions of a hosta plant somehow included in the logo. From the beginning it was important that the new brand represent the friendliness of the business as well as the high-quality plants coming from the greenhouse.
Many iterations and one client meeting later, the vision was coming together. We decided that the logo needed to be simple and friendly in order to best represent the business, and a secondary logo that could fit on a hat was also important.
