“The Vacation”

Another Digital Imaging project where we were given the option of either making a fake movie poster or creating a surreal image. Having just come back from a fun spring break trip to Universal Studios with my cousins, I wanted to make a movie poster commemorating the trip.
I based my poster on the many modern adventure movies such as the Avengers and Uncharted. My family really enjoyed this poster and my grandma even wanted me to get it printed to she could hang it up in her house.
2022
In my Digital Imaging class, we were to create an image that told a story seemingly from a fairy tale with our own photos. I'm a big reader and at the time one of my favorite series was the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. In this series, many of the main characters have large bat wings, and one of them is even called a "Shadowsinger" because he can control shadows.
I wanted to insert myself in this story while also giving myself my own story and powers such as the addition of my wolfpack.

We were given a collection of old cabinet photos to chose from, and then were tasked with visually creating a story for the people in our photos. I took inspiration from classic stories like Swiss Family Robinson and Treasure Island, while also giving the story its own twist.

Climate Stories

"The year is 2070 and the climate crisis has worsened, causing previously strange events to become the norm." I chose to do my poster on the impact the changing climate would have on the tourist trap of skiing.
In my original design(right), I chose the blue color scheme to better reflect the chilly winter weather associated with skiing. But after doing many print runs on the riso, I found the orange and red color combination(left) to be quite striking.
